About the Role The State of South Carolina is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Azure cloud solutions. This role is pivotal in supporting the state's modernization initiatives, focusing on developing a cloud-native integration platform. Collaborate with various teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology strategies. Key Responsibilities • Lead the architecture and implementation of a modern Azure cloud-native integration platform. • Establish scalable integration patterns using APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native services. • Design and guide the implementation of statewide Azure data lake and data engineering capabilities. • Provide technical leadership for DevOps, CI/CD, security, and operational readiness. • Define architecture standards, technical patterns, and governance practices. • Mentor developers, engineers, and architects to foster internal capability development. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise technology solutions. • 7+ years of experience with cloud solutions and architectures using platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Experience with enterprise integration solutions utilizing REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems. • Experience with cloud-based data lake, analytics, or data engineering technologies. • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and performance optimization. Preferences • Experience integrating SAP, SAP S/4HANA, ERP platforms, or enterprise financial applications. • Experience in large-scale government or highly regulated technology environments. • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or TOGAF. • Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid. • Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and cloud governance practices.
