Rate: $60–$70/hr on W-2 (No C2C or 3rd Party) ⏱ Employment Type: Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Project Manager to lead large, high-visibility enterprise initiatives with executive-level oversight. This role is responsible for the planning, governance, execution, and quality control of complex, multi-year programs involving cross-functional teams, vendor coordination, and system integrations. These strategic initiatives require a fully dedicated leader capable of managing intricate schedules, executive communications, risk mitigation, and organizational alignment. The ideal candidate brings strong project governance experience and thrives in environments requiring structure, accountability, and executive-level reporting. Key Responsibilities Strategic Program Leadership • Lead large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives with significant executive visibility. • Oversee programs involving 50+ team members and multi-year timelines. • Coordinate complex schedules, stakeholder groups, and vendor participation. • Ensure integration across multiple systems and cross-functional initiatives. Planning, Governance & Execution • Develop and maintain detailed project plans spanning initiation through closeout. • Perform long-term release planning aligned to organizational direction. • Establish and monitor project controlling methods to ensure visibility into cost, schedule, and quality. • Adhere to established project management methodologies and governance standards. • Provide structured staffing, reporting, and executive-level communication throughout the lifecycle. Risk & Issue Management • Proactively identify risks and escalate appropriately to executive leadership. • Resolve conflicting high-priority requirements across stakeholders. • Ensure project scope, quality expectations, and deliverables are consistently met. Team & Stakeholder Coordination • Direct and coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, and milestones. • Facilitate working sessions, build consensus, and negotiate solutions. • Provide training and informational sessions when necessary. • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of project or program management experience (strongly preferred). • Proven experience managing large, strategic, multi-year enterprise projects. • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and governance. • Experience working within matrixed organizations. • Knowledge of data infrastructure and governance fundamentals. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive reporting skills. • Ability to analyze complex issues, define problems, and recommend solutions. • Strong ability to manage competing priorities in high-risk environments. Preferred Qualifications • Previous government or public-sector experience. • Experience serving in multiple roles such as project manager, program manager, coordinator, or executive. • Experience coordinating vendor-supported initiatives. • Familiarity with formal enterprise project methodologies.
