Role Overview: As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring efficient communication and exceptional service. Your role is vital in managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate information to support healthcare operations. What You'll Do: - You will answer inbound calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient and provider inquiries. - You will schedule and confirm patient appointments accurately using healthcare software. - You will maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. - You will assist callers with insurance verification and billing questions. - You will collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve issues and improve patient satisfaction. - You will participate in ongoing training to stay updated on healthcare policies and procedures. - You will handle escalated calls with empathy and problem-solving skills. - You will contribute to meeting team performance goals and quality standards. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1 year experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in healthcare. - Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. - Proficiency with computer systems and healthcare software applications. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish. - Previous experience in insurance verification or medical billing. - Certification in customer service or healthcare administration.
