Role Overview: As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and efficient handling of inquiries. Your role is vital in supporting healthcare operations and enhancing patient satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will answer inbound calls from patients and healthcare providers promptly and professionally. - You will provide accurate information regarding appointments, services, and healthcare policies. - You will document and update patient information in the system with attention to detail. - You will assist in scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments as needed. - You will handle patient concerns and escalate issues to appropriate departments when necessary. - You will maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times. - You will participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on procedures. - You will contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1 year experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in healthcare. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly. - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with healthcare management software or electronic health records (EHR). - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish. - Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
