Role Overview: As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and efficient handling of inquiries. Your role is vital in supporting healthcare operations and enhancing patient experience through excellent customer service. What You'll Do: - You will answer inbound calls from patients and healthcare providers promptly and professionally. - You will provide accurate information regarding appointments, billing, and healthcare services. - You will document and update patient records and call logs with attention to detail. - You will resolve patient concerns and escalate issues to appropriate departments when necessary. - You will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery. - You will adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. - You will participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare policies and call center best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1 year experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in healthcare. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency with computer systems and data entry. - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish. - Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
