Role Overview: As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, delivering exceptional service and support. Your role is vital in managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate information to ensure smooth healthcare operations. What You'll Do: - You will answer inbound calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient and provider inquiries. - You will schedule and confirm patient appointments accurately using healthcare management systems. - You will provide clear and compassionate communication to patients regarding healthcare services and procedures. - You will document all interactions and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. - You will collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve issues and improve patient experience. - You will participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare policies and call center best practices. - You will maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. What You Bring: - You bring at least 1-2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in healthcare. - You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a patient-focused approach. - You are proficient with computer systems and healthcare software applications. - You have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - You demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages. - Previous experience working in a healthcare call center.
