The Product Manager will work with the Senior Product Manager to identify and deploy new features for the A-SCEND platform. They will collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure user needs are met and contribute to the product roadmap.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in business application design and requirements gathering. A strong understanding of IT audit frameworks and experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is also required.
About the Role We're looking for a Product Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our audit management platform – A-SCEND. In this role, you'll be the champion of our users, ensuring we provide the best possible experience for both our internal audit teams and external audit customers. You'll dive deep into their problems and feedback, translating their needs into innovative and valuable solutions. You'll collaborate closely with our design and engineering teams to bring these solutions to life, from initial concept to launch. In this role you will also contribute at a strategic level with the executive team to define and prioritize the product roadmap. You will be expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of our customers, our competitors, and the future direction of the GRC/compliance industry. Reports To Vice President of Product Operations Pay Classification Full-Time, Exempt Responsibilities Work with A-LIGN’s Senior Product Manager to identify, prioritize, and deploy new features that add value to A-SCEND and solve real problems for our clients Utilize a “Design Thinking” approach when working with internal and external clients to define requirements for new A-SCEND features Create detailed design documentation in support of defined requirements Write acceptance criteria Collaborate with the A-SCEND development team on design approaches and acceptance criteria Participate in market research of relevant competitive products to identify and scope future features Create and execute User Acceptance Testing plans for new features Create and execute Roll Out plans for new features in conjunction with the A-SCEND development, training, and marketing teams Prepare Release Notes and provide blog, website, and other content to support the Marketing team Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, MIS, or related area EXPERIENCE At least 5 years of experience in Business Application design and requirements gathering. Demonstrated experience in a cybersecurity or IT compliance-related field. Strong understanding of IT audit frameworks, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, ISO 27001, and/or NIST. Experience in conducting user interviews, gathering feedback, and translating it into product requirements. Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
