About the Role The Marketing Communications Specialist supports the execution of strategic communications initiatives within the Marketing department. In this role, you will be responsible for driving exposure for A-LIGN through media outreach, publications, and corporate awards programs that target national audiences in the cybersecurity and compliance markets. As the Marketing Communications Specialist, you will craft compelling stories for journalists, coordinate cross-functional marketing programs, and engage with cybersecurity associations to elevate A-LIGN’s brand presence. A-LIGN will depend on you to foster strong internal and external relationships, collaborate across teams, and contribute to building scalable communications strategies. You will bring a balance of creative ideation and disciplined execution to help drive continued growth in our fast-paced environment. Reports to Content Marketing Director Pay Classification Full-Time, Exempt Responsibilities Coordinate awards submissions which include the company as a whole as well as individual spokespeople. Manage the social media program in conjunction with the content marketing team Write and schedule social posts, respond to mentions, and engage with followers Conduct media outreach to secure coverage with influencers, podcasts, reputable blogs, and other outlets Contribute to compelling press releases, media pitches, blog content, and social media posts Identify, pitch, and secure speaking opportunities for our practice leads (SMEs) at regional meetups, industry webcasts, and other events in coordination with the Demand Generation Team Act as project manager for cross-functional marketing efforts and help keep tasks on track using Asana Serve as marketing liaison to the employee culture team, assisting with projects involving Recruiting, HR, and additional internal communications efforts Drive community relations activities for including involvement in regional Junior Achievement and Think Big organizations Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other relevant field preferred EXPERIENCE Part-time/internship experience in marketing preferred, or up to 1-2 years maximum full-time experience in marketing SKILLS Enthusiasm for building personal relationships Excellent writing and communication skills Highly organized and capable of managing projects across multiple teams Goal-oriented and ambitious Extremely detail oriented and proactive with excellent time management skills.
