Job description: Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. • Provide patient care and support for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and autism. • Monitor vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition or behavior. • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. • Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Qualifications • Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or direct support professional is preferred. • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. • Familiarity with memory care techniques and senior care best practices. • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility. • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition. • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare staff. • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
