Key Responsibilities: • Ensure Safety & Comfort: Maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and event personnel. • Monitor Access Points: Oversee entry and exit areas, keeping events running smoothly and securely. • Bag Checks & Screening: Perform routine searches to ensure prohibited items don't make their way into the venue. • Guide Guests: Help guests find their seats, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience. • Manage Access Routes: Keep walkways and traffic areas clear for smooth, uninterrupted access. • Handle Complaints: Address and resolve guest concerns according to venue policies and procedures. • Enforce Policies: Ensure all rules are followed, and report any suspicious activity immediately. • Assist in Emergencies: Aid in the orderly evacuation of the venue when necessary. • Escort Services: Provide security escorts as required per event protocols. Pay: $13.00/hr and up, depending on experience! The employee must also possess the following qualifications: • High School diploma or GED equivalent • At least 18 years of age • Reliable forms of communication and transportation • LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.) Skills and Abilities: • A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills • The ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions • The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees • The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly • The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations Physical Requirements: • Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearly • The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration) • The ability to lift 25lbs. Work Environment: • Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud, and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request. • An energetic and fast-paced environment • Crowds (as in lots of people) • Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in open-air venues and take place rain or shine. Reasonable accommodations are made to assist with employee comfort when necessary (tents, rain ponchos, drinking water, etc.) • Evening and weekend work schedules. Many events take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Flexible availability is required.
