Role Overview: As a Regional Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and driving safety strategies and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across our regional operations. You will lead safety initiatives that protect our employees, assets, and customers while fostering a culture of safety excellence. What You'll Do: - You will develop and implement regional safety programs and policies aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements. - You will conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance. - You will lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. - You will collaborate with operations teams to promote safety awareness and training. - You will analyze safety data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. - You will manage relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting. - You will provide leadership and guidance to regional safety staff and support their professional development. - You will stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to update safety practices accordingly. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within logistics or transportation industries. - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance standards. - Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs. - Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and engage teams. - Experience with safety data analysis and reporting tools. - Ability to travel regionally as required. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician). - Experience working in a multi-state regional safety role. - Background in transportation safety or hazardous materials handling. - Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
