Market Research Senior Advisor Insights & Experience | Cigna Healthcare About the Role The Market Research Senior Advisor is a trusted thought partner who helps shape enterprise decisions through clear, confident insight. In this role, you will lead complex research initiatives that influence strategy, improve customer and patient experiences, and support growth across Cigna Healthcare. You bring both rigor and perspective—connecting data, context, and business needs to guide leaders toward better outcomes. Reporting to a Market Insight Senior Manager, the Senior Advisor plays a key role in setting the research agenda, leading high‑impact work, and ensuring insights are embedded into decision‑making across a highly matrixed organization. Responsibilities Lead complex, high‑impact research that informs enterprise priorities, strategy, and investment decisions. Translate ambiguous business challenges into focused research questions and clear insight plans. Design and execute advanced and/or quick-turn qualitative and quantitative research, selecting methods that balance rigor, speed, and relevance. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them interpret insights and apply them effectively. Manage RFP and SOW processes and hold external research partners to high standards of quality and value. Lead internal broker and customer panel programs to support ongoing, sustainable insight generation. Synthesize complex data into clear, compelling points of view that drive alignment and action. Elevate insight storytelling by influencing narratives that reinforce customer‑centric and data‑driven decisions. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth, consistency, and effectiveness of the Market Insight function. Ideal candidates will offer Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in market research, marketing science, psychology, public health, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience developing and leading market research aligned to business strategy. Deep working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and when to apply them. Proven ability to influence decisions through insight, synthesis, and clear communication. Strong analytical, systems‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations. Experience in healthcare or a transferable environment, including B2B, B2B2C, and B2C. Prior healthcare industry experience. Experience managing customer panels or insight communities. Interest in innovative research approaches, emerging methodologies, and new technologies. Demonstrated ability to coach others and raise the overall quality of insights work. Location Bloomfield, CT; St. Louis, MO; Philadelphia, PA; or New York City. Hybrid role with an expectation of three days per week in the office. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
