Do you enjoy welcoming people, staying organized, and jumping in to help wherever needed? As the 39 North Hub Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors at The Hub, support community events, and assist with day-to-day operations that keep our space running smoothly. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives on solving problems in the moment, and wants to contribute ideas that help grow the agricultural technology (agtech) district of St. Louis while supporting its scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Daily Operations • Greet, check in, and assist visitors at The Hub (39 North coworking space), providing a welcoming and professional first impression. • Open and close The Hub as scheduled, including preparing the space for the day and securing it at the end of business hours. • Answer questions and share information about 39 North, The Hub, and available services. • Monitor room schedules and direct guests to meetings and event spaces. • Set up meeting rooms in advance, including furniture arrangement, basic technology setup, and materials as needed. • Ensure visitors sign required codes of conduct and upload waivers or documentation to Google Drive. • Tidy and reset meeting rooms after use to ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for the next group. • Maintain snack, coffee, and supply inventory; restock throughout the day to keep the space welcoming. • Maintain the 39 North Digital Job Board. • Assist with maintaining and updating the CRM, including basic data entry and organization. • Monitor the space during business hours to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality; flag facility or maintenance needs as they arise. Event & Meeting Support • Assist with event setup and breakdown (furniture, signage, materials). • Greet and check in attendees at workshops, panels, meetings, and community gatherings. • Monitor the space during events to keep it clean, stocked, and functional (e.g., trash removal, beverage restocking). • Support large meetings with room setup, basic tech support, and catering or lunch coordination. • Be available to arrive early or stay late for occasional events (advance notice will always be provided). • Assist the Community Manager with planning and executing events that support community engagement and district growth. Administrative & Team Support • Support the Community Manager with administrative tasks related to operations, events, and community engagement. • Track basic operational needs and communicate updates or issues to the appropriate team members. • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve visitor experience, events, and daily operations. • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth coordination across programs, operations, and community activities. Who you are • Friendly, organized, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people in the agtech and plant science sector, including academic faculty, corporate leaders, startup founders, investors, policymakers, and community partners. • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment. • Comfortable taking responsibility for opening and closing procedures and ensuring the space is properly set up and secured. • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to step in wherever help is needed. • Someone who enjoys contributing ideas and actively participating in the growth of the 39 North district and brand. • Comfortable using common workplace tools such as Google Workspace, shared calendars, and basic event or CRM systems (training provided as needed). • Committed to supporting 39 North’s mission and complying with all applicable laws, policies, and organizational standards. Compensation & Schedule • Position: Part-time, hourly, in-person. • Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour. Up to 20 hours per week. • Schedule: To be determined; flexibility required for occasional early mornings or evenings tied to events (advance notice provided).
