Job Description Job Title: Technical Sales Solutions Engineer - Environmental Services Location: Remote with 70%+ Travel Sector: Environmental Solutions & Specialized Waste Management The Opportunity: We are seeking a high-caliber, experienced Technical Sales Solutions Engineer to serve as a key subject matter expert for a global leader in the environmental services industry. This is a strategic "Sales Overlay" role designed for a professional who bridges the gap between complex environmental solutions requirements and high-level commercial acquisition. You will not just be selling a service; you will be architecting technical waste and environmental logistics solutions for some of the most complex industrial challenges in North America. Role Summary: The Technical Sales Solutions Engineer provides the technical "horsepower" behind our most strategic sales initiatives. You will act as the primary technical interface between the customer's environmental teams and our internal engineering and operations departments. Your goal is to influence technical buying decisions by developing feasible, compliant, and cost-effective solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. Key Responsibilities: • Technical Consultation: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the sales cycle, providing strategic guidance on complex waste chemistry, logistics, and disposal regulations. • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with account managers to identify customer pain points and design custom environmental programs that meet rigorous technical specifications. • Strategic Sales Support: Deliver compelling technical presentations to C-suite and environmental health and safety (EHS) stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable business value. • Cross-Functional Liaison: Ensure seamless hand-offs from the "bid" phase to the "execution" phase by aligning customer requirements with internal operations and program management. • Revenue Influence: Carry a technical overlay quota, contributing to the growth of the specialized waste portfolio through expert-level technical influence. Candidate Profile: • Experience: 7-10 years of deep experience within the technical waste or environmental services industry. • Technical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze waste streams, understand regulatory frameworks (RCRA, DOT, EPA), and assess the feasibility of large-scale remediation or disposal projects. • The "Hybrid" Skill Set: You possess the heart of an environmental services engineer and the mind of a closer. You are comfortable in both a hard hat on-site and a suit in the boardroom. • Communication: Exceptional ability to simplify complex environmental products for non-technical stakeholders.
