Manage and coach a sales team, desk deals, and ensure compliance with CRM and underwriting standards.
Proven automotive sales management experience, familiarity with BHPH, CRM proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.
The "Why" (Read This First): Most automotive management ads look the same: "Crush it," "Top Dollar," "Rockstars Only." We are different. We are a 3-location Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) group in Nashville that is actively breaking industry stereotypes. We don't believe in "churn and burn," screaming matches, or 80-hour work weeks. We believe in reliable transportation, ethical underwriting, and a professional environment. The Opportunity: We are seeking a Sales Manager to take command of the sales floor. This is a hands-on execution role. We need a leader who can run a disciplined sales floor, desk deals with empathy and logic, and mentor the team—without the chaotic energy of a traditional franchise store. What This Role Is: • Structured: You will run a process-driven floor where the CRM is used correctly and compliance is non-negotiable. • Supportive: You are a coach first. You help your team close deals by offering solutions, not by yelling "get back on the phones." • Hands-On: You are desk-active. You are touching deals, taking T.O.s, and ensuring customers are treated with dignity. What This Role Is NOT: • It is not for the "Clipboard Manager" who sits in the tower and refuses to talk to customers. • It is not for the "Old School" manager who thinks intimidation is a motivation tactic. • It is not a place for drama. Key Responsibilities: • Desk & Close: Actively desk deals, structuring loans that make sense for the customer and the company (balancing gross profit with loan performance). • Team Development: Run daily "save-a-deal" meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to improve your team's closing skills. • Inventory Control: Manage lot appearance, merchandising, and ensure every vehicle is ready for sale. • Underwriting Collaboration: You understand that in BHPH, a "deal" isn't a deal until it's funded. You ensure deal jackets are complete with correct stips (POI, POR, References) before they move to admin. • CRM Enforcement: If it isn't in the CRM, it didn't happen. You ensure every lead is logged and followed up on. Who We Are Looking For: • The Stabilizer: You keep the sales floor calm, focused, and productive, even on busy Saturdays. • BHPH Mindset: You understand the nuances of subprime financing. You know how to read credit, verify income, and conduct a proper interview to match the customer with the right car. • High EQ (Emotional Intelligence): You are self-aware, you de-escalate conflicts easily, and you maintain professionalism with customers and staff. Qualifications: • 1-2+ years of proven experience in Automotive Sales Management (Desking/Closing experience required). • Experience with the BHPH model is highly preferred. • Proficiency in CRM software and Dealership Management Systems (DMS). • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Why Join Us? • Culture: A respectful, adult work environment. • Growth: We are a growing group with 3 locations—we promote from within. • Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays. To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter. Note: If you are currently working in a toxic dealership environment and looking for a confidential exit strategy to a better home, we encourage you to apply. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • What part of Nashville do you live in? • What makes a great leader? • What makes a great sales person? • Describe your management style in two sentences. Work Location: In person
