Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive supply chain excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize procurement processes to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services. Your expertise will contribute to cost savings, risk mitigation, and the seamless flow of materials across manufacturing and production environments. Responsibilities • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service agreements while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations. • Oversee category management initiatives to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements across various procurement categories. • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to coordinate procurement efforts that support production schedules and supply chain efficiency. • Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations, ensuring adherence to contracts, quality standards, delivery timelines, and pricing agreements. Skills • Must have 5 years' experience as a Procurement Manager. • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management. • Deep understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and materials management. • Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize inventory levels and production planning. • Familiarity with supply chain management principles including logistics, supplier management, and category management strategies. • Ability to perform root cause analysis on supply chain issues and implement effective solutions promptly. • Experience working within manufacturing environments with an understanding of quality management standards and federal acquisition regulations where applicable.
