Senior Software Developer – Digital Integrations Build the systems behind a modern digital business. Grinnell, Iowa | Hybrid This position is based in Grinnell, Iowa and requires regular onsite work. Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of Grinnell or be willing to relocate to the area. A hybrid work arrangement may be available based on team and business needs. Base salary range starts at $130K, with placement based on experience, plus annual bonus potential up to 12%. At 2nd Adventure, we support a portfolio of brands, including Brownells and Crow Wholesale, serving customers across eCommerce, retail, wholesale, and distribution. We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong full-stack development experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to mentor other developers and influence strong engineering practices. This is a senior hands-on engineering role focused on building and supporting applications, APIs, integrations, and business tools using C#, .NET, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and modern application technologies. You’ll work across systems connecting our eCommerce platforms with ERP, warehouse management, retail, third-party, and other business applications. What makes this role different is the combination of hands-on development and technical influence. You’ll continue writing code and solving complex problems while also helping shape solution design, development standards, code quality, and engineering practices across the team. In This Role, You’ll * Design, build, test, deploy, and support applications, APIs, integration services, and business tools using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Azure * Build and maintain integrations connecting eCommerce, ERP, WMS, retail, third-party, and internal business systems * Provide senior technical input on solution design, architecture, scalability, maintainability, security, and performance * Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues across multiple system layers * Conduct code reviews and help strengthen development, testing, source control, and documentation standards * Mentor developers through pairing, design discussions, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing * Use AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and developer productivity * Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, Architects, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions What You’ll Bring * 6+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong depth in backend development using C#, .NET, SQL Server, APIs, and enterprise applications * Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs, integrations, and enterprise business applications * Strong understanding of software design principles, maintainable architecture, secure development, and testing practices * Experience using, or demonstrated ability to effectively adopt, AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies * Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues across applications, databases, APIs, and integrations * Ability to mentor other developers and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders Experience with integrations involving ERP, WMS, eCommerce, or retail systems is a plus.
