Job Title: Freelance Performance Copywriter (Paid Media) Location: Remote | EST Hours Required Type: Freelance | Full-Time Hours Duration: Ongoing (Long-Term Potential) About the Role Our client, a leading SaaS company, is hiring a freelance performance copywriter to join their in-house Brand & Creative team. This role is all about writing high-impact, conversion-focused copy for paid media — fast, smart, and backed by data. You’ll work closely with growth marketers, designers, and performance pods to develop creative across social, display, video, and landing pages. From sharp headlines to test-ready variants, your work will directly drive clicks, signups, and sales. What You’ll Do • Write platform-native copy for Meta, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging paid channels • Develop and iterate headlines, CTAs, value props, and short-form scripts • Create A/B and multivariate variants aligned with performance and audience insights • Translate product value props into compelling, ROI-driven messaging • Tailor messaging by platform and funnel stage (acquisition, remarketing, retention) • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) to scale efficiently without losing voice • Contribute to modular copy frameworks and content libraries • Collaborate daily with growth and creative teams in a test-and-learn environment Who You Are • Strong background in performance or growth-focused copywriting • Proven ability to write high-performing ad creative across platforms and formats • Understanding of KPIs: CTR, CVR, CAC, ROAS • Familiar with creative testing strategies and iterative workflows • Comfortable using data to guide messaging decisions • Skilled multitasker with strong communication and organization • SaaS, tech, or performance agency experience is a strong plus • Must work EST hours and attend daily 9:30am ET stand-up Nice to Have • Experience writing across lifecycle stages (acquisition, upsell, churn prevention) • Familiarity with UGC scripting or influencer prompt writing • Ability to flex tone for performance while staying on-brand • Experience building scalable messaging systems
