Full Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and OSHA safety standards is highly desirable. The Forklift Operator will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining safety protocols across all activities. Duties • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, crane equipment, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently. • Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping orders accurately. • Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper placement for storage or shipment. • Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipments and documenting inventory movements. • Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning. • Assist with materials handling tasks such as heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing warehouse storage areas. • Support warehouse distribution activities by managing inventory locations and maintaining accurate records. • Follow OSHA safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during equipment operation or materials handling. • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Requirements • Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse or construction setting. • Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and OSHA safety standards. • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is preferred. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management is a plus but not required. • Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as crane or clamp truck operation are advantageous. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management tasks. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic warehouse environment.
