Overview 202 Cannabis Co. is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Inventory Manager to join our licensed New York State retail dispensary. This role is essential in maintaining accurate inventory control, optimizing product flow, and ensuring compliance with all state regulations. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of inventory management systems—ideally with experience in cannabis retail. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control • Implement and maintain accurate inventory management procedures. • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure all product data matches system records. • Monitor stock levels, product movement, and discrepancies, taking corrective action when needed. Forecasting & Planning • Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels. • Use data analysis and market trends to optimize product availability and minimize waste. Supplier Management • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships. • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms to support profitability and operational efficiency. Team Leadership • Supervise inventory staff and coordinate with department leads on stock-related processes. • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure team success. Technology & Process Integration • Utilize and manage retail inventory management software to maintain data accuracy. • Stay current with cannabis technology trends to continuously improve systems and workflows. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with all New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) regulations. • Implement strict security protocols for product storage, handling, and reporting. • Mitigate risks related to overstock, stockouts, or expired products. Reporting & Analysis • Prepare and present regular reports on stock levels, shrinkage, and product performance. • Provide data-driven insights to inform purchasing, pricing, and promotions. Operational Support • Oversee product intake, labeling, and secure storage procedures. • Support store opening and closing procedures as needed. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and move heavy objects. • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and twisting. • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as an Inventory Manager (cannabis or retail preferred). • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Leadership experience with proven ability to manage teams effectively. • Familiarity with cannabis inventory software (Alleaves, BioTrack, Greenbits, or similar preferred). • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general POS/inventory systems. • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment. • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
