The Senior Manager of Commercial Sales will report directly to the Director of Commercial Sales and is responsible for driving the team to achieve their new business and expansion revenue quotas . The Senior Manager sets the team’s strategic direction, manages operations, drives successful delivery, and develops a high-performing team to achieve impactful results. This is a remote position within the United States. Locations that are preferable for this role are: • Austin • Dallas • Chicago • Denver • Kansas City • Seattle • LA • San Francisco • Phoenix What we're looking for: • Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the SaaS or cybersecurity industry. • Education: preferred • Proven track record of achieving team revenue targets and outbounding metrics to generate pipeline. • Strong business acumen with expertise in sales • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to support and develop strategic plans, contributing to achieving measurable results. • Solid experience in improving team operations, optimizing team performance, and managing metrics to ensure productivity and accountability. • Proven ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally with peer leaders and teams. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to influence peers and leaders by presenting data-supported proposals, simplifying complex topics, and integrating feedback into decisions. • Experience in supporting or leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, evolving environments. • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams. What you can expect: • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Commercial team’s annual objectives and roadmap aligned with sales strategy. Leverage team input, customer insights, external trends, best practices, and stakeholder feedback to inform strategic direction. • Cross-functional Initiatives: Lead key initiatives to better achieve revenue-driving activities, improve sales processes, and close deals. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Cultivate trusted relationships with key cross-functional peers to understand their needs, challenges, and dependences, aligning priorities and initiatives to drive collective outcomes. • Operations: Define and optimize team roles and responsibilities to ensure alignment, collaboration, and efficient workflows. Drive the development and continuous improvement of team practices, processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and accountability. • Performance Metrics: Manage and monitor the team’s KPIs, ensuring alignment with the Go-To-Market team’s objectives. Track performance, hold team members accountable, and lead efforts to continuously improve results. • Change Management: Lead the team through change by planning and communicating its purpose, integrating it into team objectives, and setting clear expectations. Address concerns, provide support, and ensure successful adoption through ongoing monitoring and reinforcement. • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team. Proactively identify and develop potential leaders and current managers through coaching and mentoring. • Culture and Org Health: Foster a high-performance culture that reflects company values, where psychological safety, agility, and ownership are norms. Maintain a pulse on team and functional health and drive improvements to enhance the employee experience. • Coach and develop high performing sellers: Deploy rigorous coaching and accountability measures to develop your sellers into quota achieving, high performing sales reps. • Hiring top talent: Participate in the hiring process to identify and onboard high performing talent to the Commercial sales team. USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $145,000 USD and $196,000 USD and is commission-eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA.
