City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Part-Time, Days The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Education HS - High School Grad or Equivalent Certification/Licensure Must acquire one of the following certifications within nine (9) months of hire: Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Certified Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician Basic.
