Job Title: Healthcare Recruiter Job Location: Detroit, MI 48202 Job Type: Contract Job Duties: • Monitor staffing needs on a shift-by-shift basis and coordinate resource allocation by communicating with central staffing RNs. • Manage and maintain the scheduling system, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. • Assign nursing and support staff to units based on established staffing models. • Record call-ins, overtime, and staffing changes in the electronic scheduling system. • Secure replacement personnel for absent staff by assigning SRP personnel or reassigning existing staff. • Maintain all staffing records, logs, files, and prepare routine and special reports. • Handle general staffing office duties, including answering phones, logging call-ins, relaying messages, and adjusting shifts cost-effectively. • Prepare, analyze, and distribute statistical and staffing reports. • Provide new employees with information on hospital and department policies and procedures • Perform additional related duties as required. Job Requirements: • 1–3 years of staffing, scheduling, or healthcare business experience. • Basic knowledge & understanding of nursing roles and staffing patterns (preferred). • Experience with automated staffing or scheduling software (preferred). • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Strong data entry and report development skills. • Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Ability to operate office equipment (computer, fax, copier, voicemail). • Personal qualities: self-directed, flexible, team-oriented, willing to learn, strong interpersonal skills, and comfortable instructing others. • High school diploma or GED required.
