Department: 80096 Carolinas Medical Center - LC: Clinical Trials: Morehead Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: This is a remote position; Monday- Friday daytime hours Experience in data entry and/or data management preferred. Accepting applications from candidates residing in these states: AL, CO, FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, ME, MI, NC, SC, VA, VT, WA Pay Range $28.05 - $42.10 Essential Functions Reviews data entered on AHWFBCCC investigator-initiated research studies for quality control and data entry compliance · Collaborates in development, testing, and validating clinical trial databases, including associated documentation · Develops and implements CTMS and data entry training to study conduct sites · Provides input in collaboration with other members of the AHWFBCCC Data Coordinating Center on annual reports as required by the AHWFBCC DSMC · Works with stakeholders on development of reports in support of the quarterly sponsor-led team and Data Coordinating Center meetings · Provides data entry support and guidance to study conduct sites, utilizing available tools, and assists with technical problem solving · Oversees maintenance of clinical trials database and case report forms with a sponsor role perspective including data lock · Contributes to the compilation, organization, and production of protocols, clinical study reports, regulatory submissions (FDA annual reports), or other controlled documentation · Writes work instruction manuals, data capture guidelines, or standard operating procedures · Validates clinical databases in collaboration with the statistician · Generates data queries based on validation checks or errors and omissions identified during data entry to resolve identified discrepancies in preparation for various project deliverables and database lock · Develops project-specific data management plans that address areas such as data coding, reporting, or transfer, database locks, and workflow processes · Develops data quality reports for applicable entities such as Principal Investigators, the Data Coordinating Center, and Data Safety Monitoring Committee · Reviews study-related reports, enrollment updates, and amendments · Conducts site initiation training for IIR studies including external sites · Manages database access for internal and external site users · Manages efforts of project teams and vendors to meet project data milestones and specimen processing · Leads team meetings and produce detailed meeting minutes · Assist the clinical project manager in overall coordination of IIR studies from start to finish. Physical Requirements Primarily works in an office setting. Requires full range of body motion; sitting for extensive periods of time; walking, standing, reading, and writing/keyboarding. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Must speak and read/write clearly in English. Must be able to be mobile within the entire healthcare system and other locations that participate in LCI clinical trials. Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of clinical research experience with a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organization (CRO) or equivalent experience required; or Master's Degree and 0-1 year of clinical research experience with a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organization (CRO) or equivalent experience required; or a minimum of 3 years clinical research experience with a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organization (CRO) or equivalent experience required with no degree. Health/Science degree preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially cancer care and/or clinical research. Certification in clinical research (SoCRA, ACRP, RAPS, etc.) preferred.
