ROLE We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Solana and EVM DEX aggregation teams, backend focussed, who have a passion for building DeFi solutions. Our DEX aggregator engineering teams are focussed on building the best AMM routers to find the best price at the lowest latency and highest execution quality. You have a high degree of integrity, learn and adapt quickly, and seek to make a positive impact on the lives of those who use the systems you build. We hire engineers that have solid fundamentals, have strong learning agility, are interested in tackling hard problems and are nice people. 0x Developer Platform Tech Stack Rust 🦀 - Most of our backend, critical systems are built with Rust TypeScript/Node - Our APIs and some middleware are built using TS/Node Linux AWS Cloud Services (Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgress, Redis, OpenSearch, etc) Grafana LGTM Observability Stack GitHub We embrace AI as a tool to be better more productive software engineers Responsibilities - Your Mission Be an individual contributor on projects as well as lead technical projects of moderate to high complexity Offer valuable insights as a peer when reviewing designs and performing code reviews Design, build and maintain systems like: Blockchain event streaming and indexing services Leading edge DEX routing algorithms and models AMM liquidity intelligence services Create high quality, secure, clean code Launch new features on a regular basis Improve the way we build and deliver software Coach and mentor other engineers and generally up-level the team Empathize with our customers and users Requirements - Who You Are A software engineer with 7+ years of experience solving complex distributed computing problems A generalist who can design and build a system from the ground up which could include: Relational or Key Value Data stores Distributed Event driven architectures Cloud-based deployment, preferably AWS External facing REST/HTTP APIs Have lead small to medium sized projects as a tech lead with 2-4 other engineers Can take big problems, research the current state of the art, and apply technology appropriately knowing how to take proper tradeoffs Are driven by shipping code of high quality with a focus on providing maximum user and business value Has been part of teams that maintain business critical, high volume, customer-facing system where performance, scalability, and reliability matter Up to date on emerging threats and trends in application security Has a passion for DeFi and how it can improve peoples lives Preferred You have a solid understanding of blockchains (Specifically EVM chains and/or Solana) Experience working with JSON-RPC APIs to interact with blockchain nodes for tasks like querying blockchain data, sending transactions, or monitoring events Experience with Web3 libraries (e.g., Alloy, Web3.js, ethers.js, ether-rs, viem) to build and test blockchain integrations BENEFITS The base salary range for this position is USD $95,000 - $230,000 + equity + ZRX tokens + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, location, business needs, and candidate preferences between the different compensation elements.
