The Logistic Operations Manager oversees the distribution and transportation of materials for various programs ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery while managing a team and coordinating with stakeholders. This position requires a team leader who will provide lifecycle supply chain support to programs that develop C5ISR products for global missions across multiple Government customers. This position requires demonstrated supply chain management expertise in Government programs, a capacity to be flexible in ever changing technical and support requirements, an ability to constantly seek process improvement, and conduct logistics planning. The Logistics Operations Manager oversees all warehousing, distribution, transportation, and supply chain management functions supporting multiple programs and product teams delivering C5ISR capabilities. This position manages a 15,000-square-foot warehouse and integration facility, ensuring the secure, compliant, and efficient handling of materials, equipment, and systems in accordance with DoD, DFARS, ITAR, and NIST supply chain security requirements. The manager builds and leads a small logistics team, drives process improvements, mitigates supply chain risks, and ensures all logistics and inventory operations align with corporate, contractual, and security requirements. What You'll Be Doing: Warehouse & Distribution Management Oversee day-to-day operations of a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse and system integration facility, including receiving, inspection, storage, kitting, and outbound shipments. Maintain accurate inventory and configuration control for government-furnished property (GFP), contractor-acquired property (CAP), and program materials. Ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, and ITAR/EAR regulations governing controlled materials. Enforce facility and personnel security protocols in coordination with the Facility Security Officer (FSO). Maintain documentation for audits, property inventories, and compliance reviews. Transportation & Logistics Planning Manage all inbound and outbound shipments, including classified, controlled, and hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to DoD and export regulations. Develop logistics and transportation plans aligned with program milestones, fielding schedules, and customer delivery requirements. Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and government transportation offices to ensure secure and timely movement of materials. Oversee documentation such as DD1149, DD250, bills of lading, and export/import control forms. Supply Chain Management & Security Assess and monitor supplier and material risks, including counterfeit parts, obsolescence, and foreign sourcing vulnerabilities. Implement and maintain supply chain security practices consistent with DoD Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) guidance. Collaborate with procurement, quality, and engineering teams to ensure all vendors meet federal contract and cybersecurity compliance standards. Support DCMA and customer audits related to property management, materials control, and export compliance. Process Improvement & Team Leadership Supervise and develop a small logistics and material handling team, fostering accountability, safety, and efficiency. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and metrics to ensure operational consistency and performance visibility. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management, transportation efficiency, and supply chain transparency. Lead initiatives to modernize warehouse operations through automation, ERP integration, and data-driven decision making. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role. Experience supporting DoD or federal programs, particularly involving C5ISR systems or complex integration projects. Demonstrated understanding of DFARS, ITAR/EAR, NIST SP 800-171, and FAR Part 45/52.245-1 requirements. Experience managing government property and maintaining compliance documentation for DCMA or other oversight agencies. Proficiency in ERP and logistics management systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle). Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. U.S. Citizenship is required. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Current DoD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one. Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) or similar supply chain certification. Experience with ISO 9001-2015, Lean Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with government property management (FAR 52.245-1).
