Description Summary: This role will oversee a team of change and communications professionals, driving effective change initiatives, clear and consistent messaging to support organizational goals, standardized operational procedures, enhance employee engagement, and ensure seamless adoption of new processes, systems, and strategies in the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management, exceptional communication skills, expertise in procedure management and deep knowledge of the mortgage banking sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Change Management Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to support mortgage-related initiatives, including process improvements, technology implementations, and regulatory changes. Lead the adoption of new systems, workflows, and policies by applying change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci, or Kotter’s 8-Step Process). Assess change impacts, identify risks, and create mitigation plans to ensure smooth transitions for stakeholders across the Mortgage Banking division. Collaborate with senior leadership to align change initiatives with Huntington Bank’s strategic objectives. Procedures management Oversee the development, documentation, and maintenance of standardized operational procedures for mortgage banking processes. Collaborate with mortgage operations and compliance teams to validate procedures and integrate them into training and change initiatives. Team Management Manage, mentor, and develop a team of change, communications and procedure professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development for team members. Ensure the team delivers high-quality change management and communication deliverables on time and within budget. Communication Strategy and Execution Design and execute internal and external communication plans to support mortgage-related projects, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Huntington Bank’s brand and values. Craft targeted messaging for diverse audiences, including employees, leadership, clients, and regulatory bodies, to support change initiatives and maintain trust. Oversee the creation of communication materials, such as presentations, newsletters, training guides, and digital content, tailored to the mortgage industry. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including mortgage operations, compliance, IT, and senior leadership, to understand needs and align change, communication, and procedure efforts. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on change impacts, communication strategies and procedural improvements to drive successful outcomes. Facilitate workshops, town halls, and training sessions to promote understanding and buy-in for change initiatives. Measurement and Reporting Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change management and communication initiatives, such as employee adoption rates, engagement levels, and project outcomes. Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and successes of change and communication efforts. Ensure all change, communication and procedure activities comply with mortgage industry regulations, including those set by the CFPB, FHA, and other governing bodies. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience in change management and communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Huntington Bank’s mortgage products, processes, and systems. *May consider other corporate office (not Retail Bank Branch) locations within footprint.
