Job Summary The Manager, Multimedia Communications will report to the Director, Editorial Content. This role requires a passionate and innovative storyteller who will develop and lead an integrated multimedia communications plan that effectively communicates the system’s priorities and newsworthy content across our stakeholders. Working under the director of the Director, Editorial Strategy, this person will play a pivotal role in capturing breaking news and telling compelling stories through video and other digital mediums primarily for internal audiences. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies and programs in large, complex organizations and be comfortable building collaborative working relationships within highly matrixed organizations. Additionally, this role coordinates with leaders across the MGB Marketing team, to understand and distill high-level business and clinical priorities and translates those into actional and coordinated external communication programs in support of the systems overall mission and vision. Qualifications Key responsibilities include: Editorial Strategy Develop a plan to evolve how the organization communicates to internal audiences through video and other creative mediums. Create high-quality video content that highlights key initiatives, breaking news, and compelling stories within Mass General Brigham and related to the healthcare sector. Work closely with the Director of Editorial Content to develop and execute a comprehensive multimedia strategy that enhances the organization's digital presence. Support the editorial team and calendar to achieve strategic storytelling across hospital and functional areas in support of organizational mission, vision, goals and strategic priorities through video. Oversee the entire video production process, from concept development to post-production editing, ensuring a seamless workflow and high standards of quality. Define processes, systems and standards for story sourcing and drive the creation and execution of internal multi-channel campaigns on behalf of Mass General Brigham. Coordinate across Mass General Brigham to amplify content across multiple channels on behalf of the enterprise. Utilize extensive video and editing experience to produce visually appealing and informative content that resonates with diverse audiences. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in digital media to continuously improve multimedia content and delivery methods. In collaboration with the Director Internal Communications and Engagement, makes recommendations for analyzing success of multimedia content through targeted metrics. Evaluate and incorporate performance metrics and insights into strategic planning initiatives to drive impact Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field. Extensive experience in digital media, with a strong portfolio of video production and editing work. 10+ experience in media production. Ability to understand and communicate complex ideas, including problem-solving skills necessary to gather and interpret data and to diagnose needs. Advanced interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of multiple teams/projects/initiatives. Experience working within a large, matrixed organization. Proven success in communication strategies across multiple channels and employee engagement. Demonstrates key characteristics of a world-class communication function including trust, focus, empowerment, accountability, and ownership and operating with a ‘one team’ mentality. Effective communication skills, e.g., collaborative open style, working in teams, strong written and oral communicator, strategic problem solver with ability to execute plans, calm under fire, go-to person. Excellent project planning and organizational skills, and the ability to assist with developing communication programs and logistics involving great detail. The ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly.
