Talascend is currently seeking a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer for a remote W-2 contract opportunity. LOCATION: • Hybrid in Newark, California is preferred. • Remote working on Pacific Time is acceptable. SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Developer with over 12 years of expertise in the MERN stack to join our supply chain management team and drive the development of high-impact applications for the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in React and NestJS, exceptional coding practices, proven leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of system design to ensure robust, scalable solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of developers in building and maintaining automotive-related web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node/Nest). • Define and oversee technical strategy and architecture for scalable and robust web solutions in the automotive domain. • Ensure the implementation of best practices and standards in coding and software development. • Develop solutions using event-driven architecture (Mongo Change Streams, Kafka, Schema Registry, and connectors). • Architect and develop complex features and enhancements for our automotive platforms. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions. • Maintain and improve existing systems, addressing performance, reliability, and security issues. • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into our projects. • Continuously optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. • Act as a technical liaison with automotive clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. • Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and actionable tasks. REQUIREMENTS: • US Citizen or Green Card Holder. • Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Lead Developer, with extensive expertise in the MERN stack. • Experience in React + Nest +Mongo stack is MUST. • Proven track record of leading development teams and managing large-scale projects. • Strong experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. • Strong experience with Kafka and implementing event-driven and serverless architecture. • Background in developing and deploying web applications within the automotive industry or related sectors. • Familiarity with supply chain management. • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD practices, and Agile methodologies. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with Java or Java-based frameworks (Spring Boot, Microservices, etc.). • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). • Knowledge of automotive software development frameworks and protocols. • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in computer science or related fields.
