SUMMARY OF POSITION This position will support the daily operations of Meteor’s Procurement divisions by processing customer and vendor purchase orders, creating quotes, and reviewing vendor acknowledgements/confirmations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain the organization of order requests in the Purchasing inbox Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to project team for resolution Process and organize all purchasing documentation such as new customer info, purchase orders, revisions, quotes, and maintaining acknowledgements Enter new orders into the Delivery Schedule Review vendor acknowledgements and enter ship dates into Delivery Schedule Maintain effective communication with project teams on any order or acknowledgement issues or changes Send product prices to sales reps when they reach out with those requests Assist with creating quotes for sales reps if needed High School diploma or its equivalent required Previous purchasing or data entry experience preferred Excellent attention to detail Strong analytical skills Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of work Strong time-management skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to promptly respond to service requests and effectively manage difficult situations in a professional manner Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
