Job Description Summary The CDHC Program Advisor & Instructor plays a key role in supporting the success and sustainability of the Community Dental Health Coordinator (CDHC) Program. This individual will support the Program Director in providing instruction to participants, facilitating course activities, and collaborating on curriculum evaluation and improvement efforts to ensure the program remains sustainable, relevant, and impactful This individual will also provide direct support and mentorship to participants enrolled in the CDHC program. Responsibilities include individualized guidance to help participants complete the program successfully, strengthen their skills, and explore how to apply their CDHC training within their current roles or future career pathways. In addition, the Program Advisor & Instructor will also assist in coordinating CDHC integration efforts with partnering dental hygiene training programs, helping to extend the reach and impact of the CDHC model. This includes working with faculty partners, offering technical support, and promoting CDHC certification pathways for students. Additional responsibilities may include: Reviewing and providing feedback on participant assessments Assisting with participant tracking and program evaluation Representing the program at events or conferences Supporting recruitment and outreach efforts Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least one degree in dental hygiene. Active licensure by the South Carolina State Board of Dentistry CDHC (Community Dental Health Coordinator) certification Two years of relevant program experience (e.g., in public health, dental hygiene education, or community-based oral health programs) Demonstrated skill in mentorship, instructional delivery, or technical assistance within professional or academic settings Experience with curriculum review, program evaluation, or interprofessional collaboration Strong communication skills and comfort representing programs at events, conferences, or stakeholder meetings.
