As a Transportation Specialist, you’ll oversee domestic and international shipping operations, ensure on-time deliveries, and collaborate with logistics partners to streamline freight processes. You’ll act as a key liaison between account management, 3PLs, and carriers—balancing efficiency with exceptional service. Accountabilities: Track and trace inbound and outbound shipments across all transport modes (ocean, air, parcel, LTL, PTL, FTL) using web-based systems. Work with carriers and 3PLs to optimize transportation performance, reduce costs, and manage exceptions in real time. Assist with domestic and international freight bill audits and payment (FBAP), including invoice reconciliation through ERP and 3rd-party platforms. Support logistics coordination for expedited shipments, customer returns, customs requests, and documentation revisions. Develop tracking processes for performance metrics and provide internal stakeholders with timely updates and logistics recommendations. Reconcile landed costs, process manual invoices, and contribute to reporting improvements. Facilitate communication between internal departments and external logistics partners. Apply data-driven insights to recommend process enhancements that improve cost, service, and operational efficiency. 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience (4+ years in related roles). Strong knowledge of freight modes (ocean, air, LTL, FTL, etc.), shipment documentation, and logistics systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus. Familiarity with U.S. customs forms (7501) is a bonus. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to tailor interactions based on customer needs and importance. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and adapt in a fast-paced, remote work environment. Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Understanding of environmental and social impact issues is a valued asset.
