Full Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Soda Health. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Manager - Merchants & Payments in United States. As Principal Product Manager for Merchants & Payments, you will take a lead role in building scalable, impactful products at the intersection of healthcare, fintech, and retail. You'll collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders—from internal teams to banks, merchants, and healthcare partners—to develop and manage end-to-end payment solutions that serve real-world health needs. This is a high-impact role where you'll drive the product lifecycle, shape strategic roadmaps, and ensure seamless execution. If you thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoy solving complex challenges, this role offers a rare opportunity to deliver meaningful innovation at scale. Accountabilities: Drive the vision, strategy, and execution of products focused on merchants and payments, aligning with user needs and business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders across payments ecosystems (banks, processors, networks) and merchant partners (retailers, healthcare providers, etc.) to integrate capabilities and improve user experience. Define product requirements and success criteria for features such as funding sources, integrity protocols, new payment modalities, and expanded merchant types. Own the product roadmap and backlog; ensure timely delivery of features with high quality in collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional teams. Serve as subject matter expert in payments and merchant systems, managing stakeholder expectations, troubleshooting issues, and collecting customer feedback. Lead sprint planning and execution in Agile environments; set priorities and coordinate rollout activities including configuration, testing, analytics, and go-to-market readiness. Facilitate alignment across internal and external teams, ensuring smooth product launches and continuous optimization. 3–7+ years of product management experience in software (healthcare, retail, fintech, or SaaS preferred), with the ability to work autonomously. Solid understanding of card payment processing and merchant technologies (POS, EMR systems, etc.) and demonstrated success delivering related solutions. Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to distill requests into actionable features and roadmap initiatives. Experience working in high-growth or start-up environments, ideally using tools like Jira, Miro, and SQL to manage and analyze product delivery. Strategic and detail-oriented thinker with a hands-on, “builder” mentality—able to operate at both the macro and micro levels. Exceptional communicator with high emotional intelligence and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Commitment to equity-driven solutions, transparency, and collaborative innovation. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available. Must be comfortable working remotely and equipped to do so effectively; occasional travel may be required. Competitive base salary: $192,825–$203,550, plus discretionary bonus and equity. Medical, dental, and vision coverage with 90% employer-paid premiums (all tiers). 100% employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage. 100% employer-paid basic life insurance. Employee Assistance Program (EAP). 401(k) retirement plan. Unlimited paid time off and paid holidays. Paid parental leave. Flexible work schedule within core hours. Fully remote workforce — work from anywhere in the U.S. Jobgether is a Talent Matching Platform that partners with companies worldwide to efficiently connect top talent with the right opportunities through AI-driven job matching.
