Now, we’re launching one of our biggest growth bets yet: TikTok Shop + Creator-Led Affiliate Commerce. We’re looking for a scrappy, strategic, performance-obsessed Director of Social Commerce to build and scale this channel from $0 to $1M+/month. The Role This is a rare chance to own and scale a top-priority growth channel with full leadership backing. You'll be responsible for building our TikTok Shop engine, recruiting and activating 500–1,000+ creators and affiliates, and turning short-form content into a revenue-generating flywheel. You’ll lead strategy, ops, and team-building to grow this into a major revenue channel for Freebird. What You'll Do 🚀 Launch & Scale TikTok Shop Own GMV, CAC, and contribution margin targets for TikTok Shop Build the playbook from scratch and optimize for speed, scale, and ROI Coordinate Spark Ads with paid team to boost winning content 👥 Build & Lead the Creator Affiliate Engine Recruit, onboard, and activate hundreds of TikTok creators and affiliates Create and manage a tiered affiliate system with commissions, bonuses, and performance unlocks Build a tight-knit community (Slack/Discord) with weekly updates, incentives, and content sharing 🎥 Drive Content & Creative Flywheel Oversee 100–500+ videos/week across creator network Identify top-performing content and amplify through Spark Ads Feed learnings into Paid Media and Creative Strategy teams 📈 Run Ops, Systems, and Performance Build backend systems for tracking, reporting, payouts, and product seeding Set up dashboards by creator, content, spend, and GMV Hire and manage offshore team to scale operations (e.g. outreach, sample shipping, reporting) 3–6+ years in growth marketing, influencer/creator strategy, or affiliate marketing Deep understanding of TikTok Shop, creator marketing, and short-form video performance Proven experience recruiting and managing hundreds of creators Strong operator: organized, systems-driven, excellent at execution and scale Obsessed with numbers: CAC, ROAS, GMV, CVR, retention Clear communicator and natural community builder Bonus Points Experience running Spark Ads or TikTok Shop directly You've scaled an affiliate program or TikTok creator engine from scratch You’ve worked at a fast-growing DTC brand Rolodex of creators, affiliates, or past UGC partnerships Why Freebird Be part of a rocketship brand in growth mode with massive untapped opportunity Own a critical growth channel with full executive support and budget Work with a world-class growth, product, and creative team that moves fast and executes at a high level Shape the future of how creators drive commerce and build a first-of-its-kind engine Uncapped growth opportunity — this role can evolve into a senior leadership position Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary + performance-based bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Unlimited PTO & flexible work hours Fully remote team
