Full Description

About Filmhub 🎬 Filmhub is a global, all rights, film & TV distributor. Leveraging decades of industry expertise and a legacy of billions of dollars in global box office, we distribute unlimited opportunity to the storytellers, creatives, and makers who drive our industry. Filmhub was founded by world-renowned composer and producer Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator) and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Alan d’Escragnolle (Square, Intuit) and funded by the top investors in tech & entertainment, including NextEquity Partners, a16z & 8VC. Pairing a global network of strategic relationships with cutting-edge technology, we represent the industry’s leaders, from producers of global blockbusters to Oscar legends, festival darlings, cinema auteurs, and indie heroes. What's the opportunity? 🤔 Filmhub is transforming how films reach audiences around the world. We’re not a distributor in the traditional sense—we’re a platform that empowers rights holders: filmmakers, distributors, and catalog owners who deserve more access, transparency, and control over their work. We reject "that’s the way it is" thinking and build systems that put creatives & rights holders first. We’re scaling fast—thoughtfully and with purpose. We’re hiring a Head of Operations to help run the company. You’ll lead the teams that power Filmhub’s execution engine: Channel Ops (think product operations), Sales Ops, Biz Ops, People Ops, and Finance/Accounting. You'll drive structured, high-quality outcomes in a remote-first environment designed to support deep work, thoughtful communication, and radical transparency. This is a COO level leadership role for someone who thrives in complexity, lives in the details, and has a bias for action—while deeply valuing culture, systems thinking, automation, community, and long-term sustainability. What big questions will I answer? 💡 How do we set the standard and scale operational excellence without sacrificing speed? Are our teams structured and resourced to hit their goals? We serve multiple types of rights holders and contracts. Are we focused on the correct segments that help us maintain our strong growth rate? Our sales team is going from 10 to 25+ in the next 2 years - how do we ensure they have the systems and tools in place to make ensure they are hitting goals? Our team is growing from 50 to 100+ - how do we maintain our culture of transparency and openness as we rapidly train new leadership? What will I be doing? 🚀 Be a key strategic partner to the CEO, helping prioritize and execute across initiatives. Build out our sales & biz ops functions and infrastructure to help our sales team scale effectively and drive revenue faster. Drive our planning (Bi-Monthly & Annual plans)—we go slow to go fast and always think downstream. Ensure we have the data and information to make sure we’re focused on the right thing. Lead and manage cross-functional teams across Channel Ops (product operations), Sales Ops, Biz Ops, People Ops, and Finance/Accounting Champion and grow our remote-first culture by building intentional rituals, async workflows, and human connection (quarterly meetups, personal check-ins, book & film clubs, and more) Build and own our company-wide hiring strategy, helping scale a team of high performers who lead without needing constant supervision Uphold a culture of transparency, ownership, open conflict and direct feedback to continuously raise our collective game Protect our focus: fewer meetings, more uninterrupted maker time What skills do I need? 📖 10+ years in operational leadership roles, ideally including COO or Head of Ops at a startup Excellent “People Management”. You understand what is “servant leadership” but also aren’t afraid to hop in and do as needed. You know how to set the standard of excellence. Experience designing hiring strategies and organizational structure across multiple geographies. Systems thinker who writes things down and builds for clarity and repeatability Operationally fluent: you know how to build workflows, manage tooling, and measure performance How can I stand out? 📣 You’ve helped scale a startup through messy growth and know what "building the plane while flying it" really means You’re known for your clarity: of thought, communication, and execution You’ve built products or companies that serve creators, and you understand their needs and motivations Bonus: experience in media, film distribution, marketplaces, or creator-focused platforms At Filmhub, we take a transparent, structured approach to compensation. Offers are based on market data, your experience, location, and how the role fits within our leveling framework. Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits, with clear opportunities for growth. We make our entire compensation philosophy, levels, and salary ranges available for anyone to view—because we believe transparency builds trust. Learn more about how we approach compensation.
