Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 0-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT management. Relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred, along with skills in threat modeling and incident response.

THE OPPORTUNITY This Cybersecurity Specialist position can work remotely within the U.S. The Cybersecurity engineer works with the product cybersecurity program to help deploy and operate a secure cloud application infrastructure that aligns with business needs. In tandem with cybersecurity leadership, security engineers consistently assess the threat landscape and adapt quickly to protect the business from risk. They are also expected to have a strong work ethic, leverage analytical and critical thinking, and be skillful at meeting change requests at a moment’s notice. Because the role often interfaces with other business units, strong listening and communication skills are expected. What You’ll Work On Develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure for multiple software products and support systems in tandem with architects and system engineers. Manages the creation and assurance of cybersecurity solutions by ensuring the products follow best security practices at all stages. Ensures technology risks impacting the business are effectively identified, quantified, communicated, and managed, including recommendations for resolution and identifying root causes/key themes. (coppied) Provides cybersecurity assessments for networks, systems, and applications as needed. Work with development teams throughout the SDLC to implement monitoring and security solutions within embedded product software and supporting applications Perform or support security testing such as penetration tests, fuzz testing and internal/external audits. Coordinate remediation efforts as needed. Optimize system security design build out by creating and reviewing architecture and detailed design solutions that reflect best practices. Support breach and incident response activities for product and supporting applications Implement technical security solutions to support both host based and containerized architectures Assist with defining expectations for and conducting rigorous oversight of security systems configurations Support physical device security by determining and implementing secure product practices. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field 0-5 years of cybersecurity or IT management system experience with a strong preference for product security experience (consumer-facing apps and services) Hold one or more cybersecurity certifications, including CySA+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or additional AWS advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, VMware Certified Professional, or have completed necessary cyber coursework. Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to position controls in anticipation of threats. PREFERRED: Understanding of OWASP, CVSS, the MITRE ATT&CK framework and the software development lifecycle (SLDC). Experience in threat modeling. Ability to effectively communicate business risk as it relates to cybersecurity. Up-to-date understanding of a wide range of incident response, system configuration, vulnerability management and hardening guidelines. Experience in incident response and system monitoring and analysis. Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
