Manager, Solutions Engineering As the Manager, Solutions Engineering, you will lead and develop our growing team of Solutions Engineers while playing a key role in shaping the technical pre-sales strategy for Zignal Labs. You’ll oversee the technical aspects of the sales cycle — ensuring that your team delivers world-class discovery, solution design, and technical presentations that translate complex data and analytics into meaningful business outcomes for prospective clients. This is both a leadership and player-coach role: you’ll manage, mentor, and scale the Solutions Engineering function while remaining hands-on with key enterprise opportunities. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Manage, mentor, and coach a team of Solutions Engineers to achieve individual and team performance goals. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that emphasizes excellence in technical discovery, demo execution, and customer engagement. Define team processes, best practices, and tools to ensure consistent delivery of high-impact client experiences. Sales Partnership & Strategy Partner with Sales leadership to qualify revenue opportunities and shape overall pre-sales strategy. Oversee technical discovery and needs assessment across opportunities, ensuring alignment with Zignal’s value proposition. Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine messaging, identify new use cases, and ensure customer feedback informs product development. Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership Serve as the senior technical lead for strategic opportunities, guiding your team in developing custom demos and Proofs of Concept that address client pain points. Present Zignal products and solutions to prospects and existing clients, tailoring technical discussions to both business and technical stakeholders — including C-level executives. Support RFI/RFP responses and ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery Operational Excellence Establish metrics and reporting to track team performance, pre-sales pipeline health, and conversion rates. Continuously improve demo assets, solution templates, and internal enablement materials to enhance scalability and consistency. Drive innovation within the Solutions Engineering team by encouraging experimentation, insight discovery, and creative problem-solving. Design and implement a repeatable, scalable, and collaborative handoff process with Post-Sales and Customer Success teams, ensuring seamless transitions, shared ownership, and consistent customer experiences from pre-sales through implementation. Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering roles within Enterprise SaaS or Analytics environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity. Proven track record of building, managing, and scaling high-performing technical pre-sales teams. Strong understanding of the evolving media ecosystem, narrative intelligence, and analytics. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to business value and outcomes. Demonstrated success leading complex discovery sessions and guiding teams through the configuration of client solutions. Deep experience in Internet technologies, SaaS architectures, APIs, and relational databases. Proficiency in Boolean logic and a strong ability to translate data into insight. Execution-oriented mindset with a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. High integrity, collaboration, and a desire to mentor and elevate others. Security Clearance is a plus.
