Position: Payroll / Accounts Payable Clerk Company: Large Union Concrete Construction Contractor We are a well-established and rapidly growing union concrete construction contractor seeking a skilled and motivated Payroll/AP Clerk to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a stable organization staffed by highly capable accounting, estimating, and project management professionals. Responsibilities • Process weekly union payroll, ensuring compliance with union agreements and job-specific requirements. • Assist accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment scheduling. • Assist with job cost reporting, accounting entries, and reconciliations. • Support month-end and year-end financial processes. • Work closely with project managers, field personnel, and the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial data. • Maintain organized documentation and uphold internal controls. Technical Skills and Prior Experience • Hands-on experience with payroll processing, with union payroll experience strongly preferred. • PC proficient with strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel expertise required). • Experience with Foundation Software is a plus. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
