Full Description

Our client is seeking a Receptionist to join a major social services organization in the Nassau, Long Island area. This role is based at the organization’s headquarters in East Meadow, which also houses a facility focused on mental health services. This is a unique opportunity to work in a setting that is both patient-facing and corporate-facing, supporting a mission-driven organization dedicated to behavioral health and social services across Long Island. Job Function: • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, provide check-in assistance, and direct them appropriately. • Manage patient check-out, including scheduling and confirming follow-up appointments. • Make outgoing calls to confirm or reschedule upcoming patient appointments. • Handle a high volume of phone calls in a professional and efficient manner. • Support front desk operations by sorting mail and managing UPS/FedEx deliveries. • Maintain and update the office Outlook calendar to coordinate schedules and communications. • Provide general administrative support to clinic leadership and staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Job Requirements: • 1+ years of experience working as a receptionist. • 1+ years of experience triaging high-volume phone calls (100+ daily). • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel. • Experience working within a healthcare system. • Experience managing appointments in a calendar system. • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. • Experience using TenEleven Clinical (eCR) software is a plus.
