You will leverage your sales and technical expertise to develop deep customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and drive profitable sales of our specialty chemical portfolio. Primary purpose is to grow the assigned territory measured by Gross Margin Dollars. Critical Success Criteria (CSCs): · Generate customer preference by building strong relationships and trust as measured by growth in gross margin dollars, insight into buying criteria and customer provided guidance on how to win and retain business. · Drive Opportunity Pipeline Performance as measured by funnel size, advancing opportunities (velocity), wins (yield) and call frequency. An account manager is expected to exhibit a highly competitive drive to win always striving to excel on the key metrics as provided above. Responsibilities: • Own the customer relationships for those customers assigned. • Develop relationships with key decision makers to better understand buying criteria. · Actively seek insight into the buying criteria at the account identifying opportunities where unmet customer needs meet competitive weaknesses. · Conduct in-depth customer needs assessments to uncover hidden pain points and opportunities for process improvement. • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on assigned territory and target accounts. • Craft compelling value propositions that demonstrate the ROI of our specialty chemicals in solving customer challenges. • Deploy internal resources strategically to advance our position with targeted customers as their preferred partner. • Negotiate and close profitable sales contracts, ensuring adherence to pricing strategies and margin targets. • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay current on industry trends and maintain a competitive edge. • Prepare sales call reports and participate in regular performance reviews. • Monitor sales at actively buying accounts so that any interruption in sales is quickly identified and addressed to prevent loss of business to customers. • Demonstrate urgency and a high degree of responsiveness to customers and colleagues in support of the company’s overall vision and strategy. • Reflect a commitment to personal development by actively pursuing learning opportunities, seeking feedback, and consistently striving to improve skills and expand knowledge in relevant areas. • Demonstrated experience in the Personal Care and Cosmetics market. • Travel as needed with up to 65% travel, occasionally overnight required. • Other duties as assigned. • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales within the specialty chemicals/PC&C industry. • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and achieving profitable growth. • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Ability to build strong relationships and navigate complex customer environments. • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and the Vivify value proposition. • Entrepreneurial mindset and track record for driving growth in rapidly scaling, organizations. • 3-5 years of experience in overall sales and business development strategies a plus. • B2B sales experience; strong general business capabilities, Analytical/technical skills a plus. • Expertise developing customer-focused, differentiated products & solutions.
