Job Type: Remote position based in the United States The Technical Solutions Director will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new interventional opportunities and integrated commercial campaigns, leading the presentation of Viant’s capabilities to qualified prospects identified by the D&D or commercial teams. Take ownership of developing manufacturing solution proposals that meet customer requirements while highlighting Viant’s unique value proposition. Collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial resources to craft compelling proposals and presentations that effectively differentiate Viant in the marketplace. A Typical Work Day May Include: • New Opportunity Identification & Qualification • Leads the evaluation of new business opportunities of significant scope where analysis of business case and technical data is required. Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting solutions that meet customer expectations and align with Viant values and business goals. • Applies a broad knowledge of Viant’s products, services, and manufacturing capabilities to determine strategic and technical fit to Viant overall business strategy. • Works with customers' technical/engineering teams to understand and clarify technical requirements and specifications and translate into actionable Viant activities. • Partners with the Viant Operations, NPI and R & D colleagues to determine appropriate development effort, manufacturing strategy and resource planning. • Collaborates with Finance to ensure appropriate financial costs, controls and constraints are applied to the business cases including capital requirements. • Develops business cases and takes lead role in presenting information during cross-functional program review sessions. • Prepares and delivers proposals in partnership with Sales, Commercial Development and Operations team members. Proposals will include pricing and manufacturing strategies as well as capital and NRE requirements. • Supports multiple scenario analysis (i.e. price reduction, make/buy, facility relocation, etc) in areas of costing, pricing, technical challenges, etc. • Provides input for continuous improvement of quoting and costing process in conjunction with Sales, Commercial Development, Operations and Finance teams. Technical Sales & Account Management Support • Works with Viant Account Teams to identify, scope, and develop action plans to pursue targeted customer product opportunities. • Leads technical discussions and promotes Viant product capabilities and value proposition to new and existing customers using available tools such as technical fairs and forums. • Proactively identify and scope new business opportunities with active involvement in customers' R & D, product development, and operations teams. • Develops and provides technical product and capability training for Viant Commercial Team members and other functional groups as needed. • Strategic Market Development • Contributes to the development and execution of strategic initiatives for market penetration, targeted products and high impact business opportunities. • Participates in the identification of technology trends and manufacturing capability gaps within target markets and helps develop business cases for investment in new capabilities. • Supports marketing and lead qualification efforts as required, for example, collateral development, marketing campaigns, tech fairs and trade shows. What You Will Need: Education/Certifications • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent. Advanced degree(s) preferred. Experience: • 10+ years experience in a technical environment with minimum 5 years in the medical device industry. • Experience with the development and/or manufacturing process of catheter-based or interventional products strongly preferred. • Proficiency in CAD and design programs. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools. • Experience with SolidWorks (preferred). • Familiarity with catheter design and manufacturing processes. Skills/Competencies • Strong technical, operational, and clinical knowledge of international product therapies strongly preferred. • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate business cases and technical information to all levels of an organization. • Ability to manage multiple, significant activities and respond to changing priorities with minimum disruption. • Ability to interface with customers, problem solve and drive solutions to meet customer requirements and internal financial targets • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings, models and schematics and effectively communicate technical material. • Proficient computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Project, Word and Powerpoint, CAD and Design programs a plus.
