DevSecOps Specialist Location: Remote in the US (preference for Central Time Zone) Position Type: Full-time Company Overview: We are building advanced digital pathology solutions that are transforming the medical imaging landscape. These tools improve case reviews, enable remote consultations, support biomedical research, and enhance education for future pathologists. Our solutions integrate seamlessly with laboratory information systems (LIS) and are deployed through modern cloud infrastructure, offering scalability, reliability, and security for clinical, research, and academic use. What You’ll Do: As a DevSecOps Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling our infrastructure, as well as maintaining it. You’ll help us embed security into our DevOps practices and work cross-functionally to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Your daily responsibilities will include: Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Deploying and managing applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP. Embedding security best practices into the development and deployment lifecycle. Automating infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Monitoring and improving system performance, uptime, and security. Collaborating with engineering and product teams on delivery. Creating and maintaining documentation, policies, and playbooks. What We’re Looking For: 4–6+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles. Strong interest and/or experience in security (DevSecOps mindset). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with IaC and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). Experience working in startup environments or on greenfield projects. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have: Experience working in a start-up environment Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST). Exposure to SIEM, IDS/IPS, or WAFs. Relevant cloud or security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Security+, CISSP, etc.). Benefits: Competitive salary (up to CA$125,000).
