Full Description

A Higher Education Client is seeking a versatile QA Analyst & Automation Specialist with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing to join our dynamic quality assurance team. This hybrid role combines hands-on automation expertise with business-facing analytical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality SaaS and integrated applications. The ideal candidate will be proactive, technically adept, and collaborative across cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Analyze and review business and technical requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and testability. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript) and Java-based frameworks for UI and API validation. Execute functionality, integration, regression, and performance testing across SaaS platforms and backend systems. Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, including demos and walkthroughs. Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks integrated withCI/CD pipelinesfor continuous testing and feedback. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, validate backend data using SQL, and ensure compliance with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Create and execute performance testing using JMeter for both UI and APIs. Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development and product teams for resolution. Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test documentation. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to evolving QA processes and best practices. Evaluate and implement new automation and AI tools to enhance productivity and test coverage. Required Skills: Strong experience with Java-based automation frameworksand Playwright with TypeScript. Proficient in API testing, backend validation, and performance testing using JMeter. Experience testingSaaS applications, including integrations and workflows. Skilled integrating automation with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git). Familiarity withMuleSoft Anypoint, OpenAPI, andSwaggerspecifications. Comfortable with version control systems and command-line execution of test scripts. Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools. Experience with OnBase workflows and DocuSign is a plus Analytical & Agile Skills Ability to critically evaluate UI/API requirements and ask insightful questions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in both manual and automated testing. Demonstrated success in Agile environments with adaptability to changing priorities. Communication & Collaboration Excellent communicator capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Effective collaborator across distributed teams and business stakeholders. Proactive in driving quality improvements and maintaining thorough documentation. • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and integrating AI tools into QA practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 5–7 years of QA experience, with a blend of manual and automation testing. Proven track record in framework development, UAT support, and SaaS testing. Additional Information Work is primarily remote within the United States, with occasional travel for on-site meetings or facilitation sessions in the Washington, D.C. area. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to pass standard background checks. Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Washington, D.C. area) Employment Type: 1099 Contract postion with potentional for W2 conversion Compensation: $75-$95/hr, commensurate with experience Security Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required
