Fextralife is a leading gaming community and media platform focused on ARPG, RPG, MMO games, and more. The site offers in-depth game guides, news, and reviews, and serves a multimillion-user community across its site, social channels, and wikis. As Fextralife continues to evolve, we’re looking to expand how we engage our community. We believe a dedicated newsletter, paired with community-driven content, polls, giveaways, and regular site updates will deepen our connection with gamers. Role Overview: We are seeking a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Newsletter & Community Growth Coordinator. This person will spearhead the development and growth of Fextralife’s newsletter, drive subscriber growth, lead community engagement campaigns (like polls and giveaways), coordinate with social media efforts, and help keep the site’s front page and community-facing sections updated and relevant. This is a hybrid role with equal parts content creation, community management, project coordination, and audience growth. What We’re Looking For: Newsletter Creation & Growth Design, build, and launch the Fextralife newsletter from the ground up (template, cadence, content strategy). Curate and produce engaging newsletter content: highlights, recaps, community news, upcoming features, and exclusive content teasers. Manage subscriber list growth: develop and execute acquisition strategies (on-site signups, social promotions, cross-channel funnels). Analyze performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, growth, unsubscribes) and iterate on strategy. Community Engagement & Activation Plan and execute community-centric initiatives: public polls, surveys, feedback drives to gauge what players want to see. Organize and manage giveaways or contests to reward community members and attract new subscribers/followers. Community Analytics & Feedback Loop Monitor and analyze community engagement data across channels (website traffic, social metrics, newsletter KPIs). Use insights to refine content strategy, identify trending topics, and propose new initiatives. Act as a liaison between readers/community and internal stakeholders — helping shape the direction of Fextralife’s content and community efforts based on feedback and data. Cross-Platform Collaboration & Communication Work with content creators, editors, social media managers, and dev/marketing teams to coordinate campaigns and messaging. Ensure all community initiatives: polls, giveaways, and newsletters align with brand voice, legal/compliance requirements, and overall editorial standards. Skills We’re Looking For: Passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming culture (especially RPGs, action/adventure, community-driven games). Excellent writing and editing skills: able to craft engaging, gamer-focused newsletters, announcements, and social copy. Strong organizational and project-management skills: capable of juggling multiple initiatives (newsletter, polls, giveaways, site updates). Experience or interest in community building, engagement, or social media management (forums, Discord/Reddit, social platforms). Ability to interpret engagement data (open rates, click rates, social metrics) and turn insights into actionable strategies. Comfortable working cross-functionally with editorial, social, marketing, and possibly video/content teams. Proactive, self-starter mindset able to work independently but also collaborate effectively. Bonus: past experience running newsletters or digital communities for media / gaming / entertainment brands.
