Their team is dedicated to optimizing shipping costs and enhancing supply chain efficiency. As a Freight Analyst, you will play a vital role in analyzing shipping costs for both outbound and inbound freight. You will work closely with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and cost-effective transportation solutions. Responsibilities: • Create and negotiate carrier agreements, maintaining strong relationships with carriers and customers. • Address inquiries from carriers and account representatives regarding invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving disputes. • Utilize problem-solving skills to review and resolve outstanding invoices from Accounts Payable. • Produce ad hoc reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making processes. • Identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising service quality. • Develop and maintain carrier performance reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of freight metrics. • Possess a comprehensive understanding of our supply chain software management systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company objectives and initiatives. Preferred Skills: • Experience with automated data exchange connectivity and familiarity with WMS, TMS, and/or ERP systems. • Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems. • Strong knowledge of freight and claims processes, along with product knowledge. • Excellent data entry and analysis skills. • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and drive accountability. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proactive in seeking information and implementing best practices. • Capability to escalate strategic concerns to senior management effectively.
