Full Description

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Outdoor Adventure Center at our Orem campus! Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To • Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service to students, employees, departments, and general public related to Outdoor Adventure Center services. • Performs rental, retail, customer service and educates customers about outdoor opportunities. • Assists customers with questions on outdoor equipment use. • Educates customers on local areas for various outdoor activities. • Operates cash register, POS system, performs opening/closing duties, and maintain a professional attitude and appearance. • Makes reservations and handles check in/out procedures for all rental and trips equipment. • Assists in assessing damage, cleaning fees, and maintenance to gear upon return by customer. • Helps resolve concerns of customers. • Cleans, organizes, and inventories rental and retail items as needed. • Arranges floor and product layout and performs basic cleaning duties. • Represent the Outdoor Adventure Center as a whole; directing various questions on retail, rental, climbing wall, and trip information. • Perform other job related duties as assigned. • Must be a current UVU Student and have experience. • Must attach school/work schedule in calendar format - candidates will NOT be considered if they do not comply. • Effective customer service techniques. • Basic outdoor rental procedures, retail sales, and the importance of customer service. • Knowledge of POS systems. • Interpersonal skills. Problem solving and able to follow oral and written procedures. • Ability to deal with the public effectively.
