In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Program Director and Family Science faculty to guide and mentor student educators, ensure high-quality program delivery, and contribute to a learning environment grounded in evidence-based practice. Your work directly supports UVU's mission of engaged learning by preparing students for professional roles while helping families access valuable psychoeducational resources.As a Program Coordinator, you'll oversee key program functions-from evaluating and placing student interns, to ensuring strong supervision and training, to gathering data that informs ongoing improvement and reporting. You'll also play a vital role in community outreach and program visibility, building connections that sustain and elevate SFP's work. Summary of Responsibilities Evaluate internship applicants with the SFP Administrative Team and place interns into the field. Implement training of interns in the SFP program's pedagogical framework and curriculum. Supervise, observe, and support all SFP family science interns in the field. Give written and verbal feedback and follow up with interns, faculty, staff, and the Program Director on intern performance evaluations. Maintain office hours and engage in ongoing communication with interns through Slack, phone, email, and Microsoft Teams. Provide conflict resolution. Document and sign off on all internship hours for students to receive academic credit and apply for CFLE-P certification. Prepare for and conduct weekly internship training meetings. Attend weekly SFP Administrative Team meetings led by Program Director. Supervise the Administrative Assistant staff and assist with new staff hiring as needed. Conduct weekly intern interviews and assist them in achieving their goals. Track intake inquiries from prospective participants, follow through with family assessments and documentation, and assign participants to sessions and program sites with intern class educators. Maintain the confidentiality of records for interns and workshop attendees. Create and utilize visual marketing materials for partnerships, community presentations, and participant recruitment. Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies, stakeholders, and organizations in the community to meet community needs and to ensure services are not duplicated. Purchase materials and oversee operational costs. Help create and maintain financial records with the Director and submit accurate expense reports. Maintain facilities and offices for the program and secure space management of community venues. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of two years of experience directly related to the summary of duties.Preferred Qualifications:A bachelor's in Family Science, Family and Human Development, Social Work, Education, Behavioral Science, LMFT, LCSW, or a closely related discipline, and current Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) is preferred.
