Transform Lives as a Patient Care Technician As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you play a vital role in a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional care to patients experiencing renal failure. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will assist in essential treatment activities that significantly improve patients' lives. Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care. You will directly support patients by ensuring safe and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your duties will include assessing patient stats before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatments, and collecting blood samples as per physician directives. Technical Responsibilities. Quality will be your priority as you prepare machines for hemodialysis, maintain cleanliness by disinfecting equipment post-treatment, and conduct safety checks with detailed logging for compliance and quality assurance. Safety and Compliance. You will implement strict safety measures using personal protective equipment and adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations while staying engaged in ongoing education and team meetings. Qualifications • A high school diploma or equivalent. • A strong passion for healthcare and patient wellness. • Previous experience in healthcare, such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is advantageous. • Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate in line with safety protocols. • Ability to distinguish all primary colors. Additional Requirements: • Complete the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, showing demonstrated competency in hemodialysis within your first 8 weeks. • Acquire CPR certification within 90 days or as mandated by state regulations. • Obtain Patient Care Technician certification from an authorized state or national program within 18 months of hire and maintain it actively.
