Description A Brief Overview Provides safe efficient age specific clinical, reception, communication and guest relations support using verbal, electronic, and written techniques to maintain the operations of the assigned area. What You Will Do • Maintains the patient record (in written and/or electronic format. Competency 7 • Facilitates communication and efficient unit/department operations. Competency 5, 6 • Orders supplies. Competency 5 • Demonstrates knowledge and use of available resources and communication tools. Competency 7 • Maintains awareness and control of reception desk and surrounding area. Competency 5,6 • Initiates and maintains positive relationships and professional demeanor with patients, customers and coworkers. Competency 1 & 2 • Takes responsibility for self -development and supports a learning environment. Competency 3 • Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values. Competency 4 Additional Responsibilities • Performs other duties as assigned. • Complies with all policies and standards. • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
