Requires experience in inventory handling, ability to operate warehouse equipment, good communication skills, and at least an associate degree or equivalent experience.
The Tool and Parts Technician is to support the daily operations of the Inventory & Assets Department by performing a variety of customer service, in store, stocking duties related to the receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the department. Responsibilities • Maintains and controls inventories at levels adequate to sustain efficient operations. Places special orders for materials and tools based on work orders • Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials, tools, and other stock items - distributes and stocks as appropriate • Efficiently pick/pack items on demand for staging purposes • Quickly and efficiently Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of hand truck. Open and unpack boxes/containers • Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighting, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and Style number with information on invoice or packaging slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage, Receive items into Maximo • Sort and store items according to established procedures • Maintain computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically, and check against inventory control totals using computer; Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy Desired Qualifications • Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, walk around fork lift, pallet jack, handcart and other standard warehouse equipment • Knowledge and familiarity with a variety of technical parts and supplies • Knowledge of and experience with parts reference source and materials such as manufacturer manuals, books, internet and the ability to effectively use such materials to ensure correct parts ordering • Ability & willingness to work a variety of schedules, overtime, weekends and holidays with short notice • Ability and willingness to respond to incidents in locations requiring climbing, fall-protection, and other non-traditional work-environments • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written on a technical level • Associate's degree (A.
